Japanese Gardens : Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Japanese Lake and Garden. Designed in 1915 by master Japanese landscape architect Takeo Shiota (it was refurbished in 2000). It is lovely .. lots of features that are not obvious when you first enter the gardens, a couple of small streams/waterfalls. The rock walkway to the small island (photo above) was so tempting that I nearly ignored the warning signs. The deciding factor was the duck who was enjoying the island ; it seemed unfair to disturb her (or him).
